Botanical Scrubs and Soaks

Spend a calm evening learning about the benefits of herbs, local plants, and essential oils for our well-being. Participants will make a large jar of a botanical salt bath soak, and your choice of scents for a small container of sugar scrub, recipes, and more!

These guided snowshoe adventures are suitable for those who have never tried snowshoeing before, or experienced snowshoers. Depending on the session you choose, come ready to learn more about winter creatures, winter tracking, winter trees or Park history. Come feel the crunch of drifts beneath your snowshoes and stay active through a Winnipeg Winter!

Ready to experience the tastes, scents and culinary traditions of love? Be treated to a culinary journey of flavors and aromas of some very romantic fare prepared by Assiniboine Park's own Executive Chef Heiko Duehrsen, complete with carefully selected drink pairings from the bar at Gather. As you sample the dishes, Chef Heiko will be demonstrating how to prepare them in our state-of-the-art teaching kitchen so you can recreate them at home.

Beaded Cardinal Pin Workshop
Program date: February 8 at 1:00pm - 5:00pm
In this beading workshop with Shannon Kraichy, participants will create their own 3" x 1.5" beaded cardinal pin using two needle flat stitch/embroidery stitch, pebble stitch, and single-bead edging techniques. This workshop is 4 hours to allow time to start the project and learn all the necessary steps to complete the project at home. All materials included.
